Did anyone spot our school on the BBC?!
We were chosen to be one of the few schools for a video montage for a piece that BBC did on the rise of school videos in place of open days.
You can see the clip here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/education
A virtual tour of the school is now ready to view. This tour allows you to select whether you wish to walk through the school, or choose different rooms or areas to look at more closely. You will be able to see the classrooms, library, outdoor classrooms, art area, playground and much more.
On Thursday 21st May our school community took on the challenge of celebrating Outdoor Classroom Day from home. This biannual event is always a big celebration for us in school and we just couldn't let the opportunity pass to encourage our families outside into nature during these unprecedented times. We set the challenge to complete our 'Outdoor Classroom Day Bingo', a bingo card full of our favourite outdoor actvities. The children rose to the challenge, with some Year 1 children even writing about the fun they had.
Despite not being in school our children found a way to celebrate VE day with their families. They enjoyed finding out about the history of the celebration using family memorabilia as well as images and artefacts shared with them by their teachers. We observed the two minute silence at 11am and enjoyed watching a video shared by one of our parents playing the Last Post.
We are very proud of our children for achieving higher than the Surrey and National averages in maths, writing and reading.
