The Governing Body of Wood Street Infant School is made up of parents, school staff, and members of the local community, who give their time to ensure that all children benefit from the best possible learning experience.
The governors play an important role in ensuring that each and every child reaches their full potential, within a safe and happy environment. The governing body holds the Headteacher and school leadership team to account for all aspects of performance, including ensuring compliance with safeguarding and statutory educational requirements. The governors are also responsible for overseeing how we can shape the future of the school, in addition to ensuring that spending decisions reflect outcomes for the children.
The governing body takes pride in the many achievements of the school, especially enabling every child to access a diverse and rich curriculum, with a high degree of focus on outdoor learning
