Agreement for Pupils

Our School Rules
  1. Listen to each other
  1. Be helpful and caring
  2. Kind hands and feet
  3. Try your best
  4. Look after our school and everything in it
  5. Move around school sensibly

 

I will do my best to:

  • Follow the school rules
  • Come to school regularly and be on time
  • Work hard and listen to instructions
  • Be polite and helpful to adults and other children
  • Wear my school uniform and remember to bring the equipment I need

Agreement for Parents/Carers

To help my child at school, I will do my best to:
  • Make sure my child arrives in school on time and is collected on time 
  • Make sure that my child attends school regularly and I will inform the school of the reason for any absence 
  • Support the school in maintaining good behaviour and discipline
  • Support my child with homework and home learning opportunities such as listening to my child read or supporting research work
  • Attend parent consultation evenings
  • Ensure that my child wears the school colours and follows the school dress code
  • Let you know if there are any problems that may affect my child’s ability to learn

 

 

 

 

 

 

Agreement for the School

The school will do its best to:

  • Follow our school aims in all that we do
  • Be welcoming at all times and offer opportunities for parents/carers to become involved in school life
  • Provide informative communication eg newsletters, website, diaries, class weekly learning letters and information meetings
  • Have high expectations for every child and ensure every child is encouraged and supported to do their best at an appropriate and challenging level
  • Provide a purposeful and inspiring  curriculum which meets the national requirements and the needs of the children and community
  • Offer a range of extra curricular activities
  • Maintain an attractive,  purposeful, well resourced, orderly and learning focused environment for children to learn
  • Make sure children are familiar with the school rules
  • Respect the views of children and parents acknowledging the different circumstances that exist
  • Try to enable all children to take part in all activities
  • Ensure that bullying and racist and other discriminating behaviour is not tolerated
  • Arrange parent consultations evenings every term to discuss progress
  • Contact parents/carers if there is a persistent problem concerning your child’s attendance or punctuality
  • Contact parents as soon as possible if we are concerned about your child’s work or behaviour
