I joined Wood Street in 2020 as a student teacher completing my Post Graduate Certificate in Education. Having done work experience at Wood Street a few years prior, I knew that this was the place I wanted to be. Therefore, when I was offered a teaching position upon completion of my training, I couldn’t say yes quick enough.
Prior to my Wood Street journey, I completed a Primary Education degree in Cardiff. This was an opportunity for me to explore the theory behind teaching, and experience classroom practice within a range of year groups.
My desire to teach came from a trip to Kenya back in 2013, when I spent 10 days volunteering at a small school in Nakuru. It was this experience that showed me the true value of education and ultimately led me to where I am today.
Outside of Wood Street, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going for walks and baking.
