Kelvin Richardson (Chair)
I have been a resident of Guildford since 1991 and in 2000 considered Wood Street Infant School to be the perfect place for my children to be educated; because of the caring, friendly family atmosphere. While they were at the school, I was "persuaded" to become a governor. In time, the school and its ethos meant so much to me that I stayed on as a governor long after my children had moved on. I am an Acceptance Manager for a company upgrading Air Traffic Management systems on over 100 airfields on the UK and overseas and enjoy taekwondo as a means of keeping fit.
As Chair I am here to provide leadership to the Governing Body and work with my governor colleagues, our Head and all our amazing staff to ensure that Wood Street continues to provide the best possible education and care for each and every child. To help us achieve this I encourage all our parents and the local community to work together with our children and help Wood Street develop and further improve as we face new opportunities and challenges.
