Following ten years of teaching which involved being an Advanced Skills Teacher, deputy head teacher and some work for the Local Authority, I became the head teacher of Eastwick Infant School. After six years, I was involved in the federation of Eastwick Infant School and Eastwick Junior School; I had the privilege of being the head teacher of these federated schools for a further five years where significant change needed to be managed so that these two schools became one. During my time at Eastwick Schools, I was responsible for two special needs centres for children on the Autistic spectrum and I have appreciated the opportunity to establish a new centre at Worplesdon Primary School which I joined in 2017 as head teacher. At Worplesdon Primary School, I have relished securing strong teaching and building leadership capacity within the school which has placed us in a strong position for outward facing work, supporting other colleagues and schools to be the best they can be. Most recently, this work has involved supporting schools within Bright Futures Learning Trust and our local feeder school, Wood Street Infant School.
I am married to a patient and supportive husband and we have two wonderful children. In my spare time, sport is my passion.
