Visit from a professional chef

posted 18 May 2012, 07:05 by Zoe Tunney
Ben Piette, a professional chef from Woking, made it to the semi finals of MasterChef: The Professionals a couple of years ago.  He is one of Surrey's most creative chefs and now has his own restaurant, London House, in Old Woking.
He was kind enough to visit us for a whole day to work with all
the children demonstrating his culinary skills.  He made fancy berry pancackes filled with meringue with the younger children and a Sunday breakfast with a difference with Year 2.  We feel it is really important for our children to work with various professionals from the community and thank Ben for giving up so much of his time.  With one of our priorities this year being Grow, Cook and Eat, Ben commented on how impressed he was with some of the fantastic questions the children asked him during the day!
