The children in YR enjoyed a visit from Safari Pete. They discovered a flying tree snake hiding in a plant by the office and had the opportunity to hold meerkats, owls, komodo dragons, tarantulas, and giant milipedes. They stroked a crocodile, and were excited to feel a snake slithering across their tummies! They were fascinated to see a snake being a fussy eater and refusing his dinner and then a monitor lizard gobbling up the whole mouse greedily! The children had a fabulous hands on experience and learned lots about what the animals eat and where they come from.
